Tiered MM2H (2024 Update)
The Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) program was renewed in 2024 and divided into three tiers: Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The entry-level Silver tier (over 50 years old) requires a RM 150,000 deposit in a Malaysian bank and roughly RM 5,000 per month in foreign income. Higher tiers offer additional benefits with larger deposits.
Deposit and Stay
The program requires maintaining a fixed bank deposit according to tier; after a certain period, part of the deposit can be withdrawn for approved purposes such as purchasing property, healthcare, or education. Depending on the tier, there may be a minimum annual stay requirement.
