Malta's Nomad Residence Permit is open to third-country nationals working remotely for employers or clients abroad. The permit is valid for up to one year and can be renewed to around four years in total.
The 10% Tax Rate
Once residence is established, foreign remote income is taxed at a flat 10% under a dedicated framework, with the first period generally treated favorably. Malta combines an EU location, wide use of English and a Mediterranean climate, making it a popular longer-term nomad base.
